LL Bean

So I'm basically in love with LL Bean. Although I may not be that big of an outdoor person, when the time comes for me to get some outdoorsy equipment or tote bags (LL Bean totes are the best) I always head over to LL Bean. This summer I'm going to Costa Rica for two weeks on a service trip and I needed a lot of stuff so I of course headed over to LL Bean. 

Discovery Rain Jacket

My favorite thing that I got was this new rain coat. Since it's really hot and humid in Costa Rica I didn't want to get a heavy rain coat and a lot of rain coats, but this rain jacket is awesome! It's the perfect weight and it folds up really nicely, so it'll be awesome for hikes.

Lilly Agenda

It's finally that time of year again... time to preorder your Lilly agendas!! Last year I got a Lilly Pulitzer agenda for the first time and I do not regret it. It is perfect for both school and for keeping track of social appointments :) This year I preordered the Large Agenda in Jellies Be Jammin' (pictured above) and I'm so excited to get it! The colors are perfect and the beachy jellyfish will be perfect for those cold winter days when I'm tired and sick of school work.

Vineyard Vines

So when we were in the Vineyard Vines store buying our shep shirts my mom of course struck up a conversation with the sales associate (I swear she does this in every store) about one of the colleges I visited. She was telling him about how this father and son were wearing matching VV shep shirts and baseball hats, the sales associate got a kick out of it. But back to the point, when were checking out he was ringing us up and since he thought I was going to college (I still have another year of high school, but shh...) he offered me two VV posters to decorate my "dorm room" with. I have course got both of them and they are currently decorating my bedroom door.

Isn't it just so summery? I love it!

I Decided to Spoil Myself...

There was recently a 25% off sale at Vineyard Vines and my little sis wanted to get her first shep shirt. I of course had to go (who can pass up a chance to go to vv?) and while she was trying on possible shirts I found one of my own. It was totally spur of the moment, but I love it! I have a pink overdyed shep shirt that I wear all of the time so I figured another shep shirt would definitely be put to good use. I've worn this twice to school already and have gotten so many compliments! It's definitely one of my fav things in my closet!!

Happy June

Happy June! I'm so excited that it is finally summer!! After a very long winter (I had 11 snow days) it is a nice change to finally have some nice weather. I'm super excited for this summer as I have so much planned! I'm really looking forward to sharing my summer with y'all!

Just a Little Note

Hi Everyone,

So since it's summer and I will have a lot more time on my hands I've decided that I'll start blogging again. I didn't really mean to take a break, but with junior year stresses, AP tests, and all of my other activities I just didn't have the time to devote the time I wanted to this blog.

Monogram Pullover

After a long wait I finally got my monogram pullover. I had put this on my Christmas list and Christmas morning I opened a box and my mom had put a cute homemade little voucher for "1 Monogram Pullover". After taking a good month to decide what Lilly pattern I wanted and the color of the pullover I finally ordered one off of Etsy.

It took about a month for me to get the pullover, but it was definitely worth the wait! It has to be one of the comfiest sweatshirts I own and I wear it practically everyday. It's heavier then a shep shirt which is nice because it adds some diversity to my closet. It matches practically everything and the Lilly pattern in the monogram just gives it that little extra touch. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and I think it would make such a cute present (as long as you plan ahead).

So, today I was invited out to lunch with some friends that I haven't seen in at least a year. They were two of my bestest friends in elementary and middle school and live about a 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive away. However, we all go to different schools and are busy doing different things. Today, totally out of the blue I got a text from one of the them inviting me out to lunch and since I had nothing else to do, why not!

 I am so glad we were able to hang out. Seriously though, it was honestly like no time had passed. It was a little awkward at first, but soon the conversation was flowing and we had so much fun!! Hope y'all had a fun Saturday as well :)

I whaley like you

What better way to get ready for valentine's day then to make a valentine's card. After seeing the valentine's heart whale from vineyard vines I became inspired to make a card with it. Feel free to download and/or print it out, I know I'm going to be passing it out to all of my friends :)

Take A Chill Pill

After having finally recovered from the stressful time of midterms and tests last week I've decided to do a post on how to de-stress and prevent yourself from becoming stressed.

one// plan your time

The number one thing that causes people to stress out is not having enough time in the day. Make a to do list with everything you need to accomplish that day, it helps you plan your time and gives you a sense of accomplishment when you cross something off.

two// develop good study habits

Don't procrastinate. Don't wait until the night before a test to start studying, plan it so you do a little bit each night for a week before your test, you won't get as stressed and will retain more information then if you just did an all night cram sesh.

three// treat yourself

Everyone loves being able to have a little me time. That may mean getting a celebratory mani-pedi after a test or just taking a 10 minute break every hour and a half or so to check your phone and make sure you aren't missing out on some world changing moment, this "me time" is important to make sure you aren't running yourself ragged.

I have come to the conclusion I am in love with New York City. Is it even possible to be in love with a city... who knows, but I think I am! This past weekend I went on a college roadtrip up to New York and had a blast. Thursday I visited Vassar and was pleasantly surprise. I wasn't so sure how I was going to like it because it is a little smaller then a wanted, but I really liked it. On Friday we then visited Columbia and NYU. Columbia was of course gorgeous, I loved the neighborhood and the school seems amazing. NYU I wasn't so sure about at first because it doesn't have a true campus, but while on a tour I realized that the city was it's campus, long story short I loved that school too.

 Of course once we were done with tours we had to go shopping, after that we went to Times Square and checked out all the Super Bowl stuff. WOW! That is all I have to say about it. I honestly think it was more crowded then it is on New Years Eve and it was mass chaos, however I did enjoy it and it was a really cool thing to be able to see.

Tiffany and Co

In August I turned 16 so my parents wanted to buy me something at Tiffany's. So finally after a long almost 6 months I decided what to get. I wanted something classic that I would be able to wear for a long time and not grow out of it. After much deliberation I decided to get the Tiffany Twist pendant and earrings. They are now honestly my favorite jewelry combo, I wear them almost everyday and get so many compliments! They're so simple yet not too simple so you can wear it with almost everything.
