-Cotton Ball
-Some sort of red drink
Enjoy!
2. Reindeer water bottles

-Googly eyes
-Brown pipe-cleaners

3. Festive Cucumber
-Cucumbers (cut into circle slices)
-Holiday mini cookie cutters (cut cucumber slices using these)

Happy Holidays!

Christmas Traditions

Every family has traditions, some have been around since as long as you can remember and others just develop one year and have continued since. I thought I would take this time to tell you about some of my family's.

1. My favourite of our traditions is every year my parents get my sister and I a new pair of PJs and we open them up Christmas Eve and wear them that night.

2. A few years ago my dad and I went to lay wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery because I needed service hours for school, but after that first time we've gone back every year. It is amazing to see so many people giving up their Saturday mornings to lay wreaths on all of the graves.

3. One of my all time favourite traditions, that sadly we don't do anymore, is buying a new Christmas tree ornament. When my sister and I were younger we always got a new Christmas tree ornament around Christmas and they would always be the first ornaments on the tree.

4. The last of my family's traditions that I'll write about is every year on Christmas Eve we'll drive into D.C. and have an early dinner and then go to the Candlelight Choral Service at the National Cathedral. First off the Cathedral is beautiful in its own, but with Christmas Carols and candles it can't get much better. If you are ever in D.C. for the holidays I would highly recommend it!

What are some of your family's holiday traditions?

Wednesday Wants

Wednesday Wants, Wednesday Wishes- both a commonality in the blogosphere, but I need inspiration. So here are my wants of the week
1. An A in Economics. It seriously sounds so nerdy, but I have put in so much work to the class and my marginal returns (maybe I am learning something) are small. So if there any super duper smart econ people out there, or who have just taken AP Microeconomics and want to send some help this way I will most likely love you forever (in the most non-creepy way ever)
Factory classic button-down shirt in gingham
2. Now on to my fashion want of the week. I have been looking for a gingham/checkered shirt FOREVER. Do you know how hard it is to find? Near impossible, I'll tell you. I have finally found one but due to my sad lack of a credit card I am counting on my parents to get it for me as a present from "Santa"

3. My final want is the Naked 3 palette. I am addicted to my Naked 1 and 2. They are seriously the best and to anyone who does not have one of them needs to go out and buy one right away. They are a little on the pricey side, but totally worth it. I love the palettes I have and want the 3rd to finish my "set". If you are trying to decide which palette to get I would definitely recommend the first Naked, it has a variety of neutral shades that are perfect for any skin tone.

Tuesday Thoughts

Dear Ladies,
Proper attire for a holiday party does not include bodycon dresses or tight mini skirts. Please refrain from wearing. We are ladies and must dress like that. For those unsure of what is appropriate or not, here are some ideas. A Christmas sweater is always okay, pair it with leggings or jeans and a pair of riding boots for a casual party. If you are attending a more formal holiday get together a nice, classic looking dress (think Sunday tea with your grandparents) in holiday colours is always a staple.
Hope this helps those who are ladylike-challenged.
xx,
A Concerned Partygoer
